Other Names: Yucatan Bobwhite

Subspecies: Yucatan Bobwhite, C. n. caboti - eastern Campeche and Yucatan; Progreso Bobwhite, C. n. persiccus - Yucatan, but endemic to the Progreso area; Honduras Bobwhite, C. n. nigrogularis - north-eastern Honduras and northern Nicaragua; segoviensis - Belize and northern Guatemala.

Range: Three distinct populations in Central America - see geographical races above.

Habitat: Grasslands with brush borders.

Status in Wild: Not well known.
