Description - Male: Heavily barred black, white and brown on back, wings, head and throat; chestnut streaking on belly and breast.

Description - Female: Sexes are alike, males with bright red bill and females slightly smaller.

Status in Captivity: No data, doubtful any are kept in American aviaries at this time.
